ARLINGTON, VA. - The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit announces the arrest of a bank robbery suspect. Though the suspect is charged with one robbery at this time, the robbery is believed to be related to a series of five other bank robberies that occurred over the past three months in Arlington County.
Peter Cifala, 57, of Washington D.C., was arrested on Friday, August 19, 2011. He was charged with Bank Robbery and held in the Arlington County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and other charges may be pending.
