Law enforcement officers from Arlington County Police Department were recognized by the Virginia State Police (VSP) in the 2011 Law Enforcement Officer Award competition at a ceremony during the annual meeting of the Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (VA-IASIU) in Richmond on Thursday, May 10, 2012.

On April 28, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Arlington County Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to the designated collection sites The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
