Suspects Charged Following Graffiti Damage of Skate Park

ARLINGTON, Va. – Following an investigation by the Arlington County Police Department’s Gang Unit, four subjects have been charged with felony destruction of property after they caused extensive damage to Powhatan Springs Skate Park.

On Saturday, June 7, 2014, it was reported that graffiti took place at Powhatan Springs Skate Park located in the 6000 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. The damage was so extensive that the park remained closed several weeks later. Parks and Recreation officials estimated the cost of the damage to be in excess of $35,000.

On June 25, 2014, felony search warrants were executed and four subjects were taken into custody. Three adults and one juvenile were involved in the vandalism. Zoe Raizen, 18, Isadora Raizen,18, Marlon Vasquez, 18, of Arlington VA, were charged with destruction of property. The juvenile was also charged and transported to the juvenile detention facility.
