TRAFFIC ALERT: 9-11 Heroes 5K Race Street Closures

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department will close several streets on Saturday, September 14, 2013 for the 9-11 Heroes 5K Race. Listed below are the streets affected:

From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.:

  • S. 23rd Street between S. Eads Street and S. Fern Street will be closed from 06:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
  • Southbound lanes S. Eads Street from S. 22nd Street to S. Glebe Rd will be closed from 08:15 AM until 8:45 AM.
  • Northbound lanes of S. Glebe Rd to Arlington Ridge Rd will be closed from 8:15 AM until 9:00 AM.
  • Northbound lanes of S. Arlington Ridge Rd from S. Glebe to S. 23rd Street will be closed from 8:15 AM until 9:45 AM.
  • Eastbound lanes of S. 23rd Street from Arlington Ridge Rd to S. Eads Street will be closed from 8:15 AM until 11:00 AM

In addition, street parking in the area will be restricted. Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is towed from a public street, call 703-228-4252.
